So I am figuring out this grandparent thing.....like why we are so crazy for these little kids that we will do anything to make them happy or laugh or not cry or whatever. It's like the same feeling we had when we first fell in love, another trick and blessing from nature that gets us together in the first place returns to make you fall in love all over again with our grandchildren. That loving feeling dims and gets replaces for something else that seems less simple even unsure at times while you are busy building a home and family, and busy does not describe the double and triple scheduling of parenthood these days, My children do not have any reference to taking off into the neighborhood to play, to find your friends, go where life leaded you only to return when you were hungry while mom hung the wash on the line, cleaned the house and planned a meal we all sat down to at 6pm. I miss those times of playing night tag with my brother, soaping windows on halloween, (bar of ivory that mom broke out and split into 4 uneven pieces, dial did not 'soap' as well.) Ok where was I oh yeah, you got that loving feeling back again with grandchildren, focus, focus.....ahhh back again. So there is this great gift we get back and it's real and crazy and fun and it's called being a grandparent. And the parents of these beautiful creatures put up with our wanting to name ourselves, we are Mimi and Popi cause she can say those names and hearing those names drives us crazy (a'gain) .

So forgive me I've been busy and this blog has been neglected for 6 months or more. But that did not stop me from visiting Anna in Atlanta several times, and many others fun things (and some not so fun) anyway....I will try to catch you up. In the mean time look who has a pony now.

Mimi's Visit with Anna at 14 months old

I don't take as good a picture as Sara of this beautiful child but here we are playing outdoors in sunny, 65 degree day in February. Everything, and I mean everything, she does is either thoughtful and her wheels in her head are turning or playful, and she squeals with delight. These pictures are the thoughtful Anna.
